Whiskey Wagon serving a good time

A unique mobile bar is now making its way through McPherson County and even destinations throughout the state. Whiskey Wagon, owned by Cord and Brittany Nestor, is a bar that will travel to the destination of your choosing.

Whiskey Wagon is a full-service bar contained in a trailer—meaning Cord and Brittany can pull the bar nearly anywhere and set up, serving custom drinks, beer and mocktails.

“We are a great fit for weddings, festivals, family reunions, birthdays and rodeos,” Cord Nestor said. “We have done a demo derby, and we will be at the county fair in July.”

Whiskey Wagon debuted last fall and is now gearing up for their first spring and summer in business. In anticipation of the wedding season, Whiskey Wagon has recently been at bridal fairs in Wichita and Salina, filling their calendar with wedding receptions.

Originally, Nestor planned to focus on providing services within a 100-mile radius of McPherson, but that plan has changed slightly due to the enthusiastic response they have received since launching the wagon into the world.

“We will cover the whole entire state as long as it isn’t a dry county,” Cord Nestor said. “Our target area, though, is mainly within a 100-mile radius. McPherson, Newton, north of Salina, Salina.”

In addition to the mobile bar, Whiskey Wagon also has an indoor bar that they can easily set up at events. This is particularly handy for indoor receptions and allows customers to design the service to their preferences.

“We have the two different bar options,” Cord Nestor said. “The trailer itself and the indoor mobile bar. We work with our clients to customize the service and menu to what they want. It doesn’t have to be a full-service bar all the time, but it can be.”

Whiskey Wagon bartender Lauren Kramer is comfortable serving popular mixed drinks and beer. She and Nestor have also worked together to find some unique drink recipes for customers to enjoy.

“Normally I serve just your regular mixed drinks, but Cord has been coming up with some crazy mixed drinks that people are falling in love with,” Kramer said. “I can make anything that people are requesting.”

Whiskey Wagon will be busy in the coming months, even planning to be set up for All Schools Day, but they still have spaces available for bookings. To schedule with Whiskey Wagon, visit their Facebook Page or call 620-245-7379. Bookings require $100 and $1 per mile outside of McPherson.

“We are a full-service bar, and we can cater to anyone’s needs,” Kramer said. “We are here to make any event great so people can have fun and be responsible.”
