Veterans continue service with McPherson Police Department

McPHERSON—The McPherson Police Department currently has six veterans continuing their service to their country and community.

The following members of the McPherson Police Department are being recognized this Veterans Day:

  • Police Chief Mikel Golden, who served in the U.S. Navy from 1997 to 2005. 
  • Captain Mark Brinck, who served in the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1995. 
  • Lieutenant Stacy Snyde,r who served and retired from the Kansas Army National Guard from 1985 to 2001. 
  • Sergeant Kyle Askren, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008.
  • Detective Matt van der Hoeven, who served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 2010 to 2014. 
  • Officer Katelyn Conn, who is currently serving in the Kansas Army National Guard.
  • Officer Joey Rupper,t who served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1988 to 1992, and served and retired from the U.S. Army from 1999 to 2015.
