Schedule adjustments, closings and cancelations

During this pandemic, we are endeavoring to take care of our community. If you have the means to back us through a subscription or a gift subscription for someone else, we appreciate your support.

There have been numerous cancelations, closures and schedule adjustments as a result of COVID-19. We will update this list as new information is received. If you have a closing or cancelation to report, please email

The Men in Harmony barbershop performance at the McPherson Community Building scheduled for 7 p.m. March 21 has been postponed until further notice. 


All programs and events at the McPherson Public Library are canceled until March 31. The library will remain open. 


Swiss Family Robinson to be performed at the McPherson Opera House March 20 through March 22 has been postponed until further notice. 


Taco Bell has closed their dining room. Drive thru service remains open. 


KFC/Long John Silver’s has closed their dining room. Drive thru service remains open. 


Walmart has changed their hours of operation. They will now be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. until further notice. 


The McPherson Recreation Commission has canceled the Sprint Soccer Academy which was scheduled to begin on March 31. A credit will be placed on accounts to use for a future MRC program. 


Main Street Deli will be closed for two weeks. 


McPherson Hospital Volunteer activities are suspended for 30 days. The Gift Shoppe will also be closed during this time. 


Save and Share is closed until March 23. Please do not leave donations as they will not be picked up. 


The McPherson Fire Department is not allowing guests at this time. All public outreach programs are postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date. 


The McPherson Community Building is closed. Staff is available by phone and email. 


Kansas Bar and Grill is closed until further notice. 


The McPherson County Chamber has postponed all of their upcoming events including Chamber Connections on Thursdays, Champer Power Hour and ½ on March 18 and the Legislative Update on March 21. 


McPherson County Extension Office and fairground buildings are closed to the public until April 6. 


MPNaz services have been moved to online until further notice. Free Little Pantries at 1455 N. Main are still available to give and receive food and will not close.
