McPherson County Toy Run and Auction Scheduled for Nov. 28th Cancelled

During this pandemic, we are endeavoring to take care of our community. If you have the means to back us through a subscription or a gift subscription for someone else, we appreciate your support.

Special to the News-Ledger

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the McPherson County Toy Run and Auction scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 28, has been cancelled. The “Toys for Kids” distribution will still occur as up to 500 children are helped each year, so they can have gifts under their Christmas tree.

McPherson area groups and residents can still help by dropping off new, unwrapped toys inside the front door of the American Legion Post, 401 N. Main after 4 p.m., or at the Chamber of Commerce office, 306 N. Main, between the hours of 8-5.

With plenty of stuffed animals on hand, what is really needed are nice toys for ages 0 -12. Checks made payable to “Toys For Kids” or” the American Legion” are also appreciated, as some items, such as bicycles, have to be purchased. If anyone has questions, please call Keena at (620) 242-7715.
