Jack Keith Spaht, 79, of McPherson, Kan. passed away on the morning of Nov. 21, 2018 at The University of Kansas Medical Center. Jack Spaht was born at home Aug. 3, 1939 in the Buxton area of Kansas to Eddie V. Spaht and Lois (Hare) Spaht.
Mr. Spaht is survived by two daughters: Valerie Spaht of Huntingdon, TN and Kimberly Spaht of Trezevant, TN; three grandchildren: Candice (Kory) Wilson, Chelcie (Ayo) Oseni, and Jacob (Alex) Cunningham all of Tennessee; three great-grandsons: Landon and Layton Wilson and Avery Oseni; two sisters: Doris McGregor of Rogers, AR and Karen Ratzlaff of McPherson, KS; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his caregiver and former wife Elizabeth “Libby” Spaht.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
Jack grew up and spent part of his adulthood in the Fredonia/Buxton area before moving to McPherson, KS. He graduated from Lafontaine High School with honors. He was a veteran of the US Army and a self-employed cattle farmer and rancher.
At the respect of Jack’s wishes, his family will not be holding a memorial service. Any condolences may be sent to the family at 395 Warren Rd, Trezevant, TN 38258 or donated to a charity of your choice in his honor.
