Aug. 4 primary election unofficial results

McPherson County voters turned out for the Aug. 4 primary and cast their vote in several races. The McPherson County Clerk Hollie Melroy has released the unofficial election results.

In local races, the county commission race was tight. As of Wednesday morning, the totals are as follows:

Tom Kueser 977

James Melland 621

County Commission District 3

David O’Dell 1,000

Larry Froese 957

For United States Senator Roger Marshall took the lead with 3,012 votes, followed by Kris Kobach with 1,053 votes.

For United States Representative for the 1st District Tracey Mann claimed 3,545 votes, followed by Bill Clifford with 1,338 votes.
