Tex Leon Koehn, 78, of McPherson, Kan., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at his home in McPherson.
Koehn was born on Nov. 25, 1939, the son of Roy and Evelyn (Becker) Koehn, in McPherson, Kan.
On Sept. 3, 1961, Tex was united in marriage to Donna Grace Parr in McPherson, KS. They had two children, Tamie and Todd. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2011, after 49 years of marriage.
Koehn lived in McPherson, working at Continental Aluminum, Vulcan Metals, and then retiring from Walmart. Shortly after getting married, he served for two years in U.S. Army as a communications specialist during the Vietnam War. He loved playing guitar, listening to music, fishing & camping, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: daughter, Tamie Wallace of McPherson, Kan.; son, Todd Koehn and wife, Julie, of Canton, Kan.; five grandchildren, Aaron, Jeremy, Trace, & Hannah Koehn of Canton, Kan. and Lacie Bate and husband, Ryan, of Inman, Kan.; great-grandson, Lakin Bate; and sister, Trudy Clark and husband, David, of Selden, N.Y.; and a nephew, Justin Writer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kent, and wife, Donna.
The memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
